I have used Truecrypt for many years without any trouble (so far : )
However, sometimes my system gets kind of hung up (Windows 8) and I cannot access any of my Truecrypt volumes (just containers I created, not any full drives) and I keep getting 'access denied' until I reboot.
So, just for the heck of it, I DL'd what I THOUGHT was a newer version of Truecrypt, version 7.2 it says. However, NO WHERE on any of these discussion forums do I see ANY reference to this version. I'll see if I can copy the credits shown on the program here below. So far this time, I uninstalled whatever earlier version I had before (6.x I think; I still have the .exe's) and I'm at this moment ONLY using the 'on the fly', non-installed version to read my encrypted volumes.
Since I see absolutely NO mention of this version, I am concerned whether it is valid.
It says: version 7.2 released by the Truecrypt foundation 5/2014
(Under that it says:)
