So I've started the program to encrypt my disk. As I chose in the "encryption option" for hash algorithm SHA-512 or Whirlpool - the software keeps saying ("this algorithm is currently not supported for system encryption").
After the this error indicator it switches back automatically to RIPEMD-160...
I am using windows 10. Legacy bios mode, mbr, secure boot turned off.
Why can I use Sha-512 or whirlpool??
I've also tried veracrypt and its funny before I turned my disk to mbr and switch to legacy mode and reinstalled windows, I could choose every hash algorithm.
Now there are only 2 hashes given: Ripemd-160 and Sha-256.
Well at least it doesn't seem to have a problem with sha-256. However I still want to use truecrypt 7.1a over veracrypt.
So why doesn't sha-512 work on truecrypt???
