I think what you write on https://truecrypt.ch/about-us/ is no longer true:
Phase 2 of the security audit is completed and there are no signs that there are are any serious security problems within TrueCrypt 7.1a.
Isn't it time to recommend VeraCrypt or CipherShed these days? Critical bugs in Truecrypt have been reported in September 2015. See e.g https://threatpost.com/veracrypt-patched-against-two-critical-truecrypt-flaws/114833/.
It is well past time to discourage the use of legacy TC. Veracrypt has been ported even over to the Raspberry Pi. I really cannot even imagine a situation where Veracrypt is not a better option. (And Ciphershed once it gets to a good build.)
