I know truecrypt isn't supported anymore, but I've been using it for years because I don't want to find other software.
I have a full disk encrpyted with a hidden volume. Everything was working fine for years, until the other day. Now, I can mount the volume, but the folder names are gibberish, with size 0 bytes. See photo:
There are a few files/folders in the root directory that I recognize, and when I click them, they open just fine, and I was able to back them up. 99.999% of my files, however, are inaccessible. Manually typing known folder names returns nothing.
GetDataBack was unable to find anything. Windows appears to know the correct amount of used/free space on the drive, though, so I'm hoping I can still pull the data from the drive.
One more thing: In the Truecrypt main window, it says that the encryption algorithm is "Serpent." I don't remember exactly which algorithms I encrypted the drive with, but I'm fairly sure that I used three different algorithms (AES-Twofish-Serpent). Could this be why my files are showing gibberish? It wouldn't explain the few files that actually work, though.
Any suggestions? Thanks.
