Has anyone had success or experience with SpiderOak and TrueCrypt in Windows environment?
I'm using the SpiderOak One client, they offer an "unlimited" storage for $150 a year, and but I don't trust them to be secure, so I create TC containers and then mount them that way. I have to uncheck the "preserve mod. timestamp" but otherwise it seems to work. But for files/containers over 4-5 GB I still get sync issues, anyone else?
However I also noticed that ever since installing SpiderOak, whenever I want to unmount ANYTHING located anywhere on the computer even when it has nothing to do with SpiderOak, TC will complain and the only way I can unmount is if I forced an unmount or if I close the SpiderOak client first, prior to unmounting.
Since SpiderOak is not open source, how do we know it is not poking its nose where it doesn't belong?
It is unwise to install SpiderOak client and have the OS integration turned on by default? or is it better to do whatever it is need to be done on local TC volume then copy entire volume over when completed?
