While fumbling around with TC 7.1a on my VM, I noticed (and remembered) that the user is forced to burn a rescue disk before encryption can begin. Considering how many laptops these days don't have any CD/DVD burners, it creates a hurdle for normal users that want to encrypt their system drive. Naturally, one can emulate a burner and bypass the feature this way, but it's not something to be expected of from normal users.
So, my suggestion is that the forced requirement of burning a RD is removed, and instead TC reminds the user on each system boot that this wasn't done yet. As another addition, maybe add possibility of creating a RD on an USB drive. It's easier to carry an USB around than a CD. At least make it possible to just generate a rescue disc .iso file, and leave it up for the user to save it somewhere.
